Learn to make a difference in the lives of children and young people using my tried and tested approach to classes and 1-to-1 sessions.

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach is now all ready to share with you to support you on your business journey!

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach is ideal if you are searching for ways to support children and young people's emotional wellbeing and would love to build a business around this, or if you want to enhance children's wellbeing education within your workplace!

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach is the perfect fit.

I personally use The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach every day in my community classes, 1-to-1's, family sessions, and in schools with full classrooms, groups, and families.

It is tried & tested many times over.

"My message for everyone is the same: that if we can learn to identify, express, and harness our feelings, even the most challenging ones, we can use those emotions to help us create positive, satisfying lives."

Marc Brackett

The Licensed version of The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach is now ready to share.

You may have a desire to support children and young people but don't know where to start.

Maybe you already support children and young people in your existing workplace but want to bring wellbeing education to life.

Maybe you are searching for something new in your life. Something that supports the emotional wellbeing and self-development of children and young people, and will support your own wellbeing too. Something that you could grow into your own small business or side-hustle, and be your own boss.

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach Training may be just what you are looking for!

Many people hear the words 'emotions' and 'mindfulness' for children and assume it is going to be 'fluffy' or 'soft'.

This is not how I run my classes or how The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach works!

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach does include fun activities. Games, crafts, yoga, are used to suit children's learning preferences and make their minds ready and receptive to the most important part of the sessions - THE TEACHING.

Every single group or 1-to-1 session holds key teaching to allow children to learn all about how their brain works and how to use this knowledge to support their own emotions and behaviours.

Each session provides children with emotional literacy skills, knowledge, and experiences that can be transferred into their everyday lives.

All of this building confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and so much more!

No soft or fluffy here, just really important life skills that can transform young lives.

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach allows for each session to not only teach about inclusion, but also to be inclusive and is created for a vast neuro-diverse audience.

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach is a proven model that I have personally developed and which I have tried, tested, and tweaked since 2015, within my own community classes, my 1-to-1's, and in schools with whole classrooms, groups, and families.

And it is now ready to work for YOU!

Who is The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach for?

Those that are looking to start their own small business or side-hustle supporting children and young people

Those that already work with children and families and want to weave in some new and exciting skills

Classroom and School Practitioners that have a desire to bring health and wellbeing teaching to life within their workplace

Classroom and School Practitioners that are looking for a new challenge beyond the classroom

What is The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach?

B.R.E.A.T.H.E. is an acrostic.

Children love an acrostic. Our minds love an acrostic.

The acrostic supports the mind to feel safe as once learnt it knows exactly what is coming next.

Each letter has meaning and holds an important place within the B.R.E.A.T.H.E. learning and teaching journey.

Each letter supports both the coach and the children to feel safe and familiar as they work their way through a whole B.R.E.A.T.H.E. session.

Tpng

The most important letter is the 'T' for teaching, with all the other letters linking together to surround and scaffold these key pieces of learning within each session.

During the training I will guide you through each of these letters and show you how each of them helps shape our teaching, children's learning and, everyone's emotional development.

I'll show you how you can take many everyday resources - games, books, and crafts - and adapt these to support the children's learning, making sessions fun, accessible, and inclusive.

I have developed a whole range of techniques that simplify the teaching of complex emotional literacy and neurosciences topics, exploring big emotions, feelings, and behaviours.

I make these accessible for children as young as 5.

My thinking is always... If a 5-year-old can understand them, then so can all children and teens - and so can stressed out parents or overwhelmed educators. Keeping it simplified and accessible to ALL is always the goal.

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach works for all and has been created to be truly inclusive for both coaches and learners.

It can work for you!

We all have emotions and we can all benefit from learning about our emotions and building the skills and knowledge to work with and through these emotions in more helpful and healthy ways.

There is no greater gift than being able to support children and young people, and those around them, to weave these skills into their own lives and really make a difference to their own emotional wellbeing and their ongoing mental health.

You can make this happen!

Bring your own 'Zone of Genius'?

Every person is different. No one-size-fits all.

Every person brings something different to their delivery - based on their own interests and life experiences.

When we can teach using our own Zone of Genius we truly come alive, and our passion shines through!

I make use of my own zones of genius within all of my B.R.E.A.T.H.E. sessions.
I love crafting, and so we craft. I use crafts as metaphors for some of the learning, I use crafts so that these can go home and the learning flows into children's homes and lives, and I use crafts to support conversations and tap into the subconscious mind.
During the training I will show you how crafts and other zones of genius can be used to bring B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Sessions to life.

Perhaps your zone of genius is yoga, dance, movement, mindfulness and breath work, or any other type of different creative pursuit. Or maybe your professional job role is your zone of genius and this is where you shine.

And where you shine, your sessions will shine.

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach is structured to provide both feelings of safety and ease, and is created to also be flexible enough to allow everyone to weave in their own 'Zone of Genius'.

 'The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach' Evolution

Across my 25+ years as a school teacher and school leader I always supported children and families that struggled with big emotions and big behaviours.

My core values are based around inclusion and the education of emotions and neuroscience - however this often clashed with the values in schools around me.

This led to my own burnout and the need for some necessary CHANGES in my life and work.

I had no idea what that change would look like, so I explored many different options.

I studied to become a Life Coach, an NLP Practitioner, and a Mindfulness Coach, as well as a range of more holistic therapies such as Reiki, Reflexology, and Massage.

As a teacher I also spent all of my allocated continued professional development time building my knowledge and skills in trauma, nurturing approaches, ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), and Mental Health studies.

All this learning was amazing, but no one thing felt quite right for me or for the children and young people that still needed inclusion and education.

With all of the skills and knowledge I'd gained, and my long teaching background and degree, I knew I could blend it into something of benefit for both myself and for the children and young people, to support their emotional wellbeing - and my OWN!.

In 2015 I took that first ‘little’ leap!

I took all of my learning and development and started my first children’s emotional wellbeing class in a local church hall.

This was my first real side-hustle, and I did it alongside my work as a teacher and school leader.

I soon realised that I loved it. So did the children, and so did the parents!

My EmotionALL Coaching and Wellbeing business followed.  A business which I created and which aligned with my own vision and values.

My values are upheld across every part of my business and are all part of The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach too.
~ Emotions ~ Inclusion ~ Education ~ Self-development ~ Mindfulness ~ and FUN ~

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach takes the lessons I've learned from all of these courses, mixed with my own experience, and simplifies them and distills them into an approach that can be followed by anyone.

The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach really can help you take your own first 'little' leap.

Testimonials

"Working with Pauline has had a positive effect on our family as we now have a common language to use which we all relate to. Several ideas and concepts were introduced through games, crafts, stories, movement and relaxation and we've found this valuable in helping us all to reflect on our day, start positive conversations and gently challenge attitudes and behaviours without it spiralling into conflict.

Pauline is a cheerful and reassuring presence and left us with lots to think about and experiment with."

Angela, Family Coaching Client

"It has been amazing to see [my son] begin to understand that he is not a "failure" or "bad" or any of these things due to his emotions. He is starting to get to grips with the fact that all emotions are part of life, but he/we can take charge of them and change the narrative to a degree.

We use so many of the strategies in everyday life now (breathing in particular) and also use the terminology that Pauline uses to help describe what's happening in our brain/body."

Nicola, Family Coaching Package

Frequently Asked Questions

Q - Do I need prior qualifications?

A - No formal qualifications are required for undertaking the B.R.E.A.T.H.E. training. It is desirable that attendees have some experience in working with and enjoy working with children and young people and/or bring some lived experiences in working with their own emotional literacy skills and knowledge.

(Before working with children in any capacity, adults would need always a PVG (or equivalent) in order to show that they are safe to work with children).

Q - Can men train to be B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Coaches and Guides?

A - 100%! Very often roles like this have traditionally been held by women, although I am glad to say that is changing. To have a truly inclusive approach this needs to be across every element of our B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Community.

Q - Can I switch between a B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Coach and Guide?

A - Yes. There will be a connection fee to make the change from Guide to Coach, and any necessary trainings made available.

If the need arises for a Coach to 'PAUSE' their licence/membership they can become part of the Free Guide Community. Whilst PAUSED a Coach is no longer in licence and cannot earn money for their B.R.E.A.T.H.E. approach training.

Q - What is a licence agreement?

A - Everyone that completes training will have a  full copy of the B.R.E.A.T.H.E. licence agreement so that there is clarity around the use of and limitation of use of The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach training and marketing materials.
I will be providing a supportive online community as part of your Coach license/membership fee.  This will ensure that our vision and values are all aligned and supported, and to allow for regular quality control there will be required online/ in-person meet-ups and training refresher options.

Q - How much will a B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Coach earn?

A - It totally depends on what each B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Coach chooses to do with their training and ongoing licence. I will be open and transparent about my business journey, and provide support where I can for all licensed coaches.

Q - Is The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach suitable for children with ASN/SEND?

A - The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach is designed in a way that provides structure and safety to those that may need this, and has been left flexible enough to allows coaches and guides to be truly inclusive. In my own personal use of The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach I do make use of both the flexibility and structure to ensure that my classes cater for all.

Q - Can I train other to use The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Approach?
A - Currently Coaches and Guides are only permitted to teach children and young people, and not to cascade training information or to train others.
In the future I do have plans for a 'Train the Trainer' model, but for now there is to be no cascading or training others.

Please do join my B.R.E.A.T.H.E. facebook community, where lots of questions are being asked and answered daily, or book a discovery call and ask your own questions.
